Aviva welcomes 10,000 new members

So far January has seen high volumes of consumers switch health insurance provider. With intense competition in Ireland’s health insurance market continuing to gather pace, Aviva have already witnessed over 10,000 consumers switch over.

The volume of switch business on top of normal renewals will make January 2010 the busiest month ever for health insurance from Aviva.

Speaking recently, Vanessa Hartley of Aviva said "January has traditionally been one of the busiest months of the year for health insurance but the level of new consumers switching to us is unprecedented. Switching to save and the ease of switching health insurer is now clearly embedded in consumers minds. Until the end of January a family can save up to €415 without compromising on their cover and in many cases improving their cover. With consumers clearly watching all of their spending 2009 was clearly a watershed year. In 2010 Aviva will continue to lead Ireland's health insurance market on innovation, price and value for money."
