Walter was appointed as Chairman to the health section of Aviva in June 2008 and was appointed to the Group board in October 2007. Walter is Managing Partner of Vincent and Beatty, one of Dublin’s leading commercial law firms. A highly regarded practice, it advises some of the largest international and domestic businesses in Ireland. Walter’s family owns a significant part of Ireland’s leading hotel group, Jurys Doyle, where Walter serves on the Board. Walter also serves on the Board of Aldi Ireland and is a past member of the Council of the Law Society of Ireland.

Prior to becoming CEO/Market Manager for Aviva in Ireland Jim was appointed Managing Director of the health insurance section of Aviva in November 2008. Prior to commencing as MD Jim was Operations Director, having fulfilled this role since the foundation of the company (formerly VIVAS Health) in 2003. Prior to that Jim held senior management positions in Marrakech plc, an e-Commerce company and was European Director of Operations for Amdahl Corporation, a subsidiary of Fujitsu Corporation. Jim began his career in the financial services sector, working for Irish Life Assurance plc.

Siobhan is Finance Director with responsibility for optimizing the financial performance of the business and driving organisational strategy. Siobhan is also responsible for ensuring adequate and effective financial management in line with Aviva standards and policies. Siobhan joined Aviva in 2001 as Head of Internal Audit before moving to Finance in the General Insurance business. Prior to joining Aviva, Siobhan was Audit Director with KPMG.

Siobhan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
